Below are some of the questions we are most commonly asked. If your question is not answered below, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Q. How long does your show last for?
A. The show lasts for 90 minutes from start to finish. It can be performed as 2 x 45 minute sets with a break in the middle if required, although we generally prefer to run straight through to keep the continuity if possible. Because of the fast pace and energy of the show, it is not physically possible to perform for longer than this! For some events, a 1-hour 'Greatest Hits' show is more approriate; we offer this too.
Q. How much do you cost to hire?
A. This is the proverbial "how long is a piece of string" question! Every gig is different, and we will happily supply a 'no-obligation' quote individually. Pricing is worked out through many factors, including distance we need to travel, whether an overnight stay is required, whether you have a "DJ / Disco" at your event or would like us to supply the disco, even what day of the week the event is on. Please fill out the form on our CONTACT PAGE and we will get straight back to you with an accurate quote. Other acts quote a price which is then subject to additonal extras and expenses - with us, the price we quote is the price you pay, and not a penny more!
Q. What do you need us (the client) to supply?
A. We will always need a lockable changing room, and ask that the client supplies a light meal / snack and drinks for the band members. A standard 13amp plug socket is more than sufficient for the duo, 2 x 13a sockets for the 4-piece / 8-piece band options, and 3 x 13a sockets for the 11-Piece band. The stage area, ideally, should be a minimum of 5 metres wide by 2 meters deep to give us room to perform, although the more space we have the better the show will be both visually and audibly. By the same standards the duo can work in a smaller space than that, though it does often restrict the dance routines and therefore the show as a whole.
Q. Do you supply a disco too?
A. We are happy to run music, usually comprising predominantly of classic songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's after the show finishes for around half an hour (while we get changed etc) at NO EXTRA COST. We can also, if you wish, stay and continue the disco to the end of your event FOR A NOMINAL FEE (see our contact page to get a quote). Should you require the additional disco, and your venue has either a 3G - or better still - Wi-Fi connection, our equipment allows us to play virtually any track ever recorded on the spot, there and then; meaning that we are able to play EVERY REQUEST made! We can also pre-arrange a 'playlist' of your favourite music before we arrive, meaning that even if you dont have a 3G or wi-fi connection available, the disco for your event will still play ALL of the tunes you personally requested, as well as all the classic party songs from 60's - modern day hits. If it's a wedding, we can organise your special first dance song and introduce the happy couple to the dancefloor. If you book us WITH a disco, these services are ALL included free of charge. If Carlsberg made disco's..................
Q. Do THE ALL NEW BLUES BROTHERS REVUE promote the show for us?
A. THE ALL NEW BLUES BROTHERS REVUE will, where possible, promote every PUBLIC performance of the show by advertising it on our own website, as well as our FACEBOOK page and other music media sources. We will not advertise private hire functions or events to protect your confidentiality. Ultimately, the responsibility for promoting and advertising any performance by THE ALL NEW BLUES BROTHERS REVUE is the responsibility of the client / venue making the booking; please be sure you are happy to take this responsibility before booking THE ALL NEW BLUES BROTHERS REVUE, we will still require full payment if we arrive to play at your event, whether there are 2 people there or two thousand!
Q. Do you play in pubs?
A. We are happy to play anywhere, any venue, any size, so long as it matches our requirements. We actually really enjoy playing pub gigs, although these are rare for us these days as our work load consists mainly of private functions, weddings, corporate events etc. As a professional act we are members of the Musician's Union and Equity, have fully PAT tested equipment and carry full insurances. We would be happy to play a pub gig, in fact we would love it -please don't hesitate to ask us for a quote using the contact page form, but please take these factors in to consideration.
Q. How far do you travel?
A. WORLDWIDE! We literally travel anywhere and everywhere. We take travel expenses and accomodation etc into consideration for all quotes that we supply, so the price we quote is the price you pay and no more. Recently we have worked in Spain, Germany, Scotland, Wales, and MALAWI is the furthest from home we have been for a gig! Don't be afraid to ask, if we can, we will!
Q. Your PA system is up to 10kw. That's really loud isn't it?
A. We always tailor the volume to suit every venue and audience. There is no point in deafening our audience, no-one gains from too much volume! The reason our system goes up to 10kw (we don't always carry this rig) is so we can cater for big outdoor events as well as the more intimate venues. For most reasonably sized events we carry a much smaller system (1K) as the full system is seldom necessary. We also carry a lighting rig and all of our equipment is PAT tested to UK regulations. We can supply certificates of this as well as our Public Liability Insurance if required.
Q. If we book THE ALL NEW BLUES BROTHERS REVUE for an event,
and then are forced to cancel, for whatever reason, on what terms can we cancel the booking?
A. Please see our TERMS and CONDITIONS of booking for a comprehensive answer!
