About The Band

A full-throttle live entertainment experience with the look, the sound, the humour and the showmanship for theatre shows, festivals, international bookers and private events.

Who Are The All New Blues and Soul Revue?

The All New Blues and Soul Revue is a professional Blues Brothers tribute and live blues and soul show based in Bedford, Bedfordshire. Established in 2002, the independent production is available for weddings, festivals, corporate events, theatres, private parties, pubs and clubs, and outdoor public events throughout the UK and internationally.

The All New Blues and Soul Revue has been bringing Jake and Elwood energy to theatres, festivals, private parties, weddings and corporate events since 2002.

This is not background music. It is a big, confident, audience-facing show built around sharp suits, dark glasses, rhythm and blues, soul classics, comedy, crowd interaction and proper live-event experience.

For theatre shows, international bookings, corporate entertainment, wedding entertainment, festival stages, function band bookings and tribute nights, the act delivers the instant recognition of The Blues Brothers with the flexibility of a professional UK live band.

The show is designed to reassure bookers as well as excite audiences: strong visual branding, scalable line-ups, experienced performers, clear production information and a proven live-event format that can travel.

Dave Wiggins And The History Of The Show

Dave Wiggins performs as Jake and has managed and performed in The All New Blues and Soul Revue since 2002. He created, owns and manages the production and trades under the parent company, BigWig Productions. He is also your first point of contact and will work with you directly to make sure you get the experience you want, tailored for your own event. All enquiries come directly to Dave, so the line-up, timings and practical arrangements can be discussed with the people actually delivering the show. Dave holds a first class BA(Hons) degree in Performing Arts and an MA in Screen Performance.

The show itself combines a huge level of energy, featuring the best-known songs from both Blues Brothers movies plus many more soul classics. This is then blended with in-character performances, plenty of comedy and a huge amount of audience participation. The show’s history includes UK and European touring, with appearances at Cambridge Rock Festival, Rock n Ribs Festival, BugJam at Santa Pod and many more, as described on our festival entertainment page. Our international performance history includes Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Gibraltar, Malawi and Dubai. Since 2002 the band has performed alongside well-known names including Toploader, The Lightning Seeds, Scouting for Girls, Vengaboys, Jason Donovan and The Commitments.

“It’s not so much about copying the original Blues Brothers movies and the characters; it’s about providing fantastic, affordable entertainment and musicianship at the very highest level.”

Booking From Bedford, Across The UK And Worldwide

Our operational base is Bedford. We take bookings throughout the UK and internationally; travel and production arrangements depend on the destination and the chosen format. Outdoor events need a safe covered stage, weather protection and suitable power, agreed with the organiser before the performance.

To enquire, send your date, venue, event type, preferred line-up and timings through the availability and quote form, or contact Dave at BigWig Productions. Read the booking questions and practical requirements and how booking works before choosing your show.
